travel europe united kingdom northern ireland dunluce castle

Dunluce Castle, the former seat of the Clan McDonnell, is a ruined medieval castle in County Antrim between Portballintrae and Portrush.
The first castle was built in the 13th Century by Richard Og de Burgh, the 2nd Earl of Ulster.
In 1588, the Girona, a galleass from the Spanish Armada was wrecked in a storm on nearby rocks.
Although it is open to the public, I only had time to visit the castle from the distance.
